Paynton Performance is a small-business that grew out of a combination of one mechanic's hobbies:  computers and horsepower!  Not satisfied with the inability to peer into modern engines 'black box,' Joel decided to advance his skills by aquiring ECM tuning software and learning the details of the operation of engine controllers.

To date, Joel Paynton has completed several projects, ranging from exotic engine transplants to twin-turbochargers on a modern corvette.  He's even custom-tuned a 2005 Denali pickup for a one-off liquid propane fuel injection system!  He is an accomplished GM service technician with over 100 specific GM training courses under his belt and several awards.  He is a two-time GM Technician Guild's National Champion, putting him at the top of over 10,000 GM technicians across Canada.

So when it comes to working on your special project car or truck, Joel is both qualified and careful.  He will do the research for you, making sure that what you want to do will meet your objective.  New things come up all the time, and Joel is always learning!
